Great info! A comment about led lights. Besides using less electricity, they are safer than halide. You can touch them with no burns, they don’t expel chemicals if they break. If you are worried about fire, these lights are much safer, you can install with velcro for under the kitchen cabinet herb growing.
Great! thanks for the share!
Book marked, I love your site! 🙂
Awsome resource! I’ve just added it to vavorites.
Pingback: A Practical Guide To Growing Tomatoes Indoors | Green Grow Box
I have grown plants in the basement of my home using the combination of T-12 lights and the HID lights. I found my bigest chalange was keeping the soil temp warm enough for warm season crops like tomatoes and pepers. Success was acheived by placing the cool season crops on the bottem shelf with their T-12 lights on 24 hours. The fixtuers porduced a study source of gentel heat that keep the soil of the shelf above warm enough.
Good idea! I actually have a shelf with a t-12 fixture built in, and could use the shelf above as the table for the tomatoes. Thanks for the input!
